SBP Leader - Americas


Lead the global, cross functional Integrated Optimization (IO) process and improvement initiatives to ensure functional excellence. The Integrated Optimization Leader is responsible for leading design of the IO and Management Business Review (as required) for the Business, facilitating the IO process and monthly review, and ensuring the long term success of the process. Provides overall leadership, management, and strategic direction of the IO and SBP (Synchronized Business Planning) activities across multiple functional areas.

Support the SBP Program Leader actively leading the IO step to deliver business results.

Develop and implement standard processes and routines through the month with a focus on measures and processes (ensure whole SBP process is scheduled throughout the year).

Ensure the process delivers business value with reference to assumptions, the Strategy, Business Plan and Annual Plans to determine gaps and actions

Integrate company-wide projects, business results, issues, and resource requirements through IO, ensuring linkages are established and not undermined.

Deploy the SBP Policy on behalf of the Business Leader, ensuring SBP is the primary process for managing the business, with old elements removed e.g. redundant meetings.

Design and develop the monthly pack for the Management Business Review and ensure it is compelling and effective in focusing on key issues and delivering robust proposals.

Ensure the links to Demand, Product and Supply Chain teams, enabling discussions and sharing of information.

Provide leadership to orchestrate process and drive issue resolution at all levels.

Help to close gaps by providing appropriate challenge and insight.

Attend reviews on a regular basis to critique and coach the content.

Assist in the development of the business strategy and business plans.

Maintain overall SBP process integrity and drive continuous improvement to achieve capability within the process.

Effectively on-board key, new people into the process, ensuring they are educated appropriately.

Attend reviews on a regular basis to critique and coach the content, process and behaviors.

Provide coaching and mentoring, and encourage decision making at the appropriate level.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

College, university, or equivalent degree required.

Green Belt certification preferred.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.


5-7 years of experience required, including budgetary experience.

Broad business knowledge required.

  1. SBP Leader for CES Americas Region including North and South America as well as Australia

  2. Provide Leadership and Continuity to the SBP process; engage and/or lead strategic projects to drive resolution to key business issues

  3. Collaborate with functional step review leaders to ensure appropriate escalations and V&O's are captured as well as maintaining information flows to ensure all areas of the business are aligned to key decisions

  4. Champion the V&O process as well as facilitate action item resolution

  5. Chief of Staff for Americas Leadership team
