Master Production Planner
No, this isn’t one of those ordinary jobs.
If you are driven and motivated to become part of a dynamic team, we have an opening for a Master Production Planner in Mississauga, ON . Reporting to the Manager Production Planning and Logistics , you will establish, manage, and maintain the Master Production Schedule that satisfies customer demand while optimizing inventory levels and plant capacity utilization.
Your responsibilities may include:
Use forecasts to prepare production and material schedules and propose a capacity matching plan.
Maintain ERP’s requirement schedule based on production’s capacity, materials lead-time, supplier’s quality index, Sales’ promised delivery date.
Review and manage change requests from customers, plants, or suppliers, making appropriate reschedules in line with the policy.
Work with Project management team to establish project schedule.
Coordinate work and materials flow for projects.
Prepare materials and production status reports.
Review inventory, work schedule, and purchase order’s pipe-line and assist engineering to determine phase in or new components.
Establish shop order release schedule and release shop order for work-centers.
Work with external and internal cross functional stakeholders to develop and implement short and mid-term tactical improvements.
Lead Six Sigma and functional process improvement teams.
Ensure common processes are being utilized and internal controls are in place and all safety and processing procedures are followed.
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
Post secondary degree in a related field.
5 years of experience in a Production Planning role.
Proven experience communicating with stakeholders to update progress and status of deliverables including KPIs.
Demonstrated ability managing Master Production Schedule (MPS) in a complex manufacturing environment.
Experience in Material Planning / Analysis and Supply Chain Planning.
Experience in Manpower Planning / Analysis.
Experience with different Manufacturing Methodologies.
Experience with Machine Capacity Planning.
