Description

This is a very exciting opportunity in Peterborough for a Data Analyst. In this position you will support the Material Planning Team Leader in the development of strategic initiatives to further improve inventory stocking quality and order fill-rates and provide administrative report to the Material Planning team.

Your impact will be seen in these and other ways:

  • Conduct research, prepare statistical reports and address routine to complex information requests.

  • Compile and verify information, ensuring that it is entered accurately into documents such as; reports, presentations, databases and spreadsheets.

  • Complete data collection, data entry and report generation on various departmental related activities.

  • Answer routine to complex inquiries from external or internal sources about the organization/department, its activities and processes processes

  • Prepare documentation for payment of vendors, suppliers and other third parties as applicable; submitting documentation and entering request for payments into the accounting system.

  • Document and maintain departmental policies and procedure

  • Participate as a team member on departmental related business improvement assignments and projects as needed.

  • Perform other routine to complex administrative activities as needed per the established procedures of the organization and/or department.

  • Act as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience.

Qualifications

To be a success in this role you will need:

  • An advanced level of proficiency using Excel and PowerPoint is essential in the role.

  • Experience with GOMS, SAP, Oracle, or a similar ERP package; or Inventory Planning system would be an advantage.

  • To be data driven with exceptional analytical skills to solve problems and draw meaningful conclusions.

  • Adept at learning new systems quickly with the willingness to share knowledge with others.

  • To be an advocate for change and share your ideas in how we can streamline process and procedures.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary between £21 - £26,000 depending on experience

  • Defined contribution pension scheme - company contributions 5%

  • Annual bonus plan -target 5%(based on company performance)
