This is an exciting opportunity in Peterborough for a Senior Supply Chain Planner

Your impact will be seen in these and other ways:

  • You will assist in the development of Cummins Generator Technologies’ Supply Chain Planning department as a central planning function.

  • You will support business-as-usual supply chain planning as well as contributing to strategic activities such as dashboard development and inventory reduction.

  • You will convert sales demand forecasts into a global supply plan for the two CGT factories in the EMEA region.

  • You will maintain Master Production Schedules (MPS) to ensure delivery of customer orders within the required lead-time.

  • Leveraging your understanding of manufacturing processes and typical bottlenecks, you will actively drive down product lead-times to ensure ‘delivery to promise’ in line with customer expectations.

  • Working with Commercial and Manufacturing management teams, you will manage the drop-ship process across the EMEA region.

  • Using Six Sigma analysis, you will contribute to continuous improvement of supply chain processes.


Skills and Experience Required:

  • A background in global supply chain planning.

  • Multiple stakeholder management in a complex engineering or manufacturing environment.

  • Project management experience

  • Exposure to enterprise-scale ERP Systems, e.g. Oracle EBS or SAP.

  • Extensive Capacity & Inventory management experience.

  • Scenario setting and problem-solving ability

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications

  • HNC, or Bachelors Degree, or equivalent vocational experience

  • Six Sigma Greenbelt qualification
