Placement - Customer Accounts Analyst

Role Purpose

Ensures that customers receive the best service possible in processing orders, preparing general correspondence, and coordinating with other functions as required. Acts as a customer contact regarding order issues, scheduling, and shipping.

Whilst this role is primary that of Customer Services however the role will also require some Analytical work for Global audiences and will need to be able to translate the findings to understandable reports or presentations for Management or the Customer Service team at different levels.



EducationTo be eligible for our 13 Month work placement you must be a university student who has a placement year option as part of their degree programme. You will spend a year in a specific department to gain real experience in your subject area. You are supported by informal training, and work on projects that add true value to the business. The placement scheme is a great place to start a career with Cummins you will experience not only the skills and work aspect, the culture and core values of the business.Empowered to liaise with external customer base and take a lead role in managing accounts, ability to communicate to customers at the guest level.Must be able lead project meetings when required; project management.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, relationship building, conflict management.Customer led quality, initiate improvement plans both internally and with the customer base.Excellent IT skills to include Excel and PowerPoint (Microsoft skills mandatory)Dynamic, strong organisational and time management skills.Effective written and oral communication skills.Flexible and proactive attitude with a desire to learn and take on responsibility.Some experience of working within MRP (Including Oracle) systems will be advantageous but not mandatory as training will be givenData driven, able to create analytical reports using Pivot Tables and charts, PowerBi experience will be advantageous but not mandatory

Communicate with staff from other areas in the organization such as sales, finance, engineering, warehouse, or logistics to confirm the status of orders and resolve customer complaints and queries

Support Customer Order Management departmental goals and initiatives to become a more proactive customer support organization: develop, document and enhance standard sales administrative practices, manufacturing communication and order throughput processes.

Identify ideas and develop proactive communications to assigned customers (processes, policy and/or best practices), participate in continuous improvement

Host customers at local plant for customer visits, witness tests and/or factory tours

Create detailed analytical reports on various Customer trends for Global audiences

Project representation in global projects
